Here at the Priory we recognise that our children are fortunate in so many ways. From time to time in each school year we think that it is important to support a wide selection of charities. The children are always enthusiastic in their participation of events and the parents, equally generous.
We believe that as a school we look ‘out to the world’ rather than ‘in on ourselves’ and we hope that the children carry this philosophy with them throughout their future lives.
Barnardo's
We are always pleased to welcome into our morning assemblies representatives from charities. A visitor from Barnardo's talked to the children about the work of this charity and how it had originated. We have since received at 'Thank You' for raising £288.14 from Martin Narey, Chief Executive of Barnardo's.

Just before the summer holiday the Year Six children were on the playground at drop-off and collection times selling 'Name the Bear'. Their purpose was to praise £50 towards the National Blind Childrens Society. I am pleased to say with your help they achieved their target.
National Lifeboat Appeal
Last year we received a visit from Caroline Tilley, an RNLI education presenter. She spoke to the children explaining about the work that the brave lifeboatmen and women do. These volunteers are prepared to be called away from their families and brave high winds and heavy seas to rescue people in need. Caroline left the children with badges which the children love to wear and we still have a collection box in the reception area should you like to contribute.
Harvest ' St Michael's Hospice' Appeal
This year the children brought in crafts and home produce for a 'bring and buy' sale. This was very successful and raised £323.00 half of which will be donated to this worth while cause.
